Our dedicated team of trained addiction professionals provides individualized treatment programs for recovery. There is not one solution that works for everyone. We compile a program that is best for the individual client, always keeping their wellbeing in mind.
Addiction recovery is one of the roughest roads a person can walk. When clients are facing a coexisting mental health issue, the rehabilitation process requires specialized dual-diagnosis expertise.
Our experienced therapists determine whether emotional instability is relevant in an individual's addiction. When we begin with a new client, we clinically assess their individual mental health issues, and our intensive outpatient program incorporates a modified dual-diagnosis track specific to those needs.
Whether other mental illness developed as a result of chemical dependency or existed before the addiction began, as drug dependence increases so do the co-occurring conditions. Both must be dealt with at the same time to achieve the highest chance of success.
The type and severity varies from individual to individual, and may include:
Co-occurring disorder treatment in San Diego is just a call away.
Call 888-547-6116Before entering our outpatient program, some clients need to undergo drug detoxification first. Where that is the case, we make referrals to trusted local facilities so the transition into our program is seamless.
Our outpatient addiction program benefits those who cannot take time out of their lives for residential treatment — people with small children, or who are unable to leave their jobs. Not every patient is a candidate. Our treatment staff evaluates each request case by case, and patients with high relapse risk factors or a history of long-term, high-level use are more likely to require inpatient care.
Our clients come from across the United States, including from out of state and northern California, as well as from the Los Angeles and San Diego areas.
Finding the right program for your clinical needs is a critical part of recovery. We work with clients one-on-one and price our plans reasonably to keep treatment accessible. Our San Diego drug rehab treatment includes:
San Diego Treatment and Recovery Center offers a distinct alcohol rehabilitation program that uses therapeutic activities directed toward recovery. As with our drug program, some clients need alcohol detoxification before beginning outpatient treatment — we refer to local facilities and coordinate the handover so nothing is lost between them.
The same suitability assessment applies. Outpatient alcohol treatment suits people who cannot step away from work or family for a residential stay; where relapse risk or a long history of heavy drinking indicates inpatient care is safer, we will say so.
We work one-on-one to build a plan around your clinical needs, at a cost designed to keep treatment within reach. Our San Diego alcohol rehab treatment includes:
Those who are working, going to school, or staying home with children often choose this program because they simply cannot check themselves into a live-in rehab. In some cases clients combine our outpatient program with a sober living situation — we have seen great success with that approach and consider it the next best alternative to residential rehab.
Whichever route you take, the purpose of treatment is to offer guidance and support. Old habits begin to disappear as you start using the new tools taught by our staff.
Our staff develops an individualized outpatient plan just for you. We offer intensive treatment in an enjoyable and relaxed environment, with day and evening sessions so we can fit your schedule rather than the other way around.
Talk to us about outpatientSan Diego Treatment and Recovery Center has a connection with a nearby 25-bed sober living house, Normal Heights Sober Living. NHSL offers recovering individuals structure and accountability in a network with others in recovery. Twelve-step meetings and other therapeutic, recovery-based activities are encouraged as newly sober residents learn and practise recovery day to day.
Residents take part in life outside the house — attending school, holding a full-time job, going to meetings. Chores and projects within the house instil a sense of responsibility and healthy habit, and residents build skills that carry over into a normal, fulfilling life.
Many recovering people who stay in a sober living home find that the structure, accountability and companionship give them the best chance at long-term recovery through the transition. The social network of recovery is real, and residents often make lifelong friends living side by side.
Stays range from 30 days to six months or more depending on the individual — but the longer the stay, the better the chance at long-term recovery.
